Jaguars arrive

One of the most exciting additions to the animal park in recent years is making its first public appearance today – Jaguars!

Male SAKA born 7th May 2009 at Le Parc des Felins in France
– joins
Female BONITA born 6th November 2009 at Saabrucken Zoo in Germany to explore their outdoor enclosure for the first time today!

At just 8 months old BONITA is just half of the size of 13month SAKA however the pair have proved inseparable in their first hours together and hopefully will go on to produce some very important and cute cubs.

This park has numerous Conservation projects throughout South America, and Jaguars – as the continent’s largest cat are a very important addition, deforestation and people are the biggest threats to Jaguars in the wild and this park works very hard to try to combat and protect areas.
